We’re Focused on What Matters Most Right Now in Memphis

At the Junior League of Memphis, we are committed to investing in our community through a focus on strengthening families. We do this by developing programs and partnering with other nonprofits to serve in Memphis neighborhoods.

In the past year, we have volunteered more than 20,000 hours in our community. The Junior League of Memphis has held bi-monthly dinners and educational programming for the families of Binghampton at the Lester Community Center. In partnership with Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministry, we have packed and distributed over 50,000 diapers and other supplies to families. Our Best Buddies committee has held events with Best Buddies Tennessee that have served 50 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since its inception in 2007, our Innovative Teaching Grants have distributed over $216,000 in grants to teachers that are doing important work in our city’s schools. We believe these investments can address both immediate needs and have an enduring impact.

We’re Creating Fulfilling Leadership Opportunities

The Junior League of Memphis offers more than service opportunities. We develop a League of leaders who can effect real change. We train our volunteers to develop civic leadership skills, educate them on the needs of the communities we serve, and help them put their unique brand of creativity and skill to work. The Junior League of Memphis gives women opportunities to grow, while positively impacting the communities where they live and work.
